Members of the Medical Board of Australia make the decisions on complaints to Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) regarding Medical Practitioners.
At the present time legislation does not require these people to take a mandatory OATH OF IMPARTIALITY before being placed in these positions by the Ministerial Council. The only requirement is they are suitably qualified professionally. My dealings with the surgeon involved, AHPRA, the Medical Board of Australia and QCAT have shown there is a lack of INTEGRITY within the Medical Profession and legislation needs to be updated to balance this lack of integrity.
I have evidential proof (viewable on the supplied link/Medical Board) that the Medical Board of Australia is not making fair and impartial decisions on complaints and in fact are not interested in the truth of the complaint even though presented with Affidavit evidence to support the allegations.
I believe legislation needs to be updated to make it mandatory for members placed on the Medical Board of Australia in positions where they make decisions on public complaints regarding Medical Practitioners to take an oath of impartiality before being placed in these positions and be held accountable for the decisions they are making.
The Scheme under which this entity operates in a National Scheme meaning it affects every person in Australia. The object of this petition, which I will present to the Ministerial Council responsible for appointments to the Board, is to draw public attention to the need for an update in legislation.
If you also believe after viewing the evidence provided on the supplied link/Medical Board that legislation should be updated PLEASE sign this petition. A Bill has to be presented to parliament before anything can change and a public petition is a very good first step.
